Brain Tumour Research

The charity Brain Tumour Research was launched in 2009 with the dedicated and specific aim of raising substantial funds to finance brain tumour research. They are striving to fund a network of seven dedicated research centres whilst challenging the government and larger cancer charities to invest more in brain tumour research.

To date they have financed and established four Centres of Excellence, to learn more about the research at these Centres of Excellence click here

As well as funding the Centres of Excellence, Brain Tumour Research lobbies Members of Parliament and the Government, presenting their findings to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Brain Tumours.

Brainwaves NI are a proud member of Brain Tumour Research and are one of the 18 member charities who individually and collectively work together to raise awareness and fund brain tumour research. In 2010 alone, Brainwaves NI contributed over £15,000.00 to Brain Tumour Research for the first Centre of Excellence at the University Of Portsmouth.
