Ben Madigan Preparatory School, Belfast
Each year Ben Madigan Prep chooses a charity of the year for their sponsored walk through Cavehill. This year they chose BrainwavesNI. This is a relatively small school with only 132 children attending from kindergarten up to Year 7. Despite the small numbers they were still able to raise a staggering £1085 for the charity.
A special mention must go to Emmet Morris who managed to raise £705 of that total himself. He was given a present from the Year 7 teacher Mr Ingram for his outstanding efforts.
The charity secretary Gordon Dickson was invited along to the Year 7 leavers assembly on Friday 28th June to receive the cheque.
