Darren Irwin – Sandholes 100
On Wednesday 10 th May Darren Irwin organised an event at his home in Cookstown to raise money for BrainwavesNI in support of a local girl, Judith Gault, who attends his gym and had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
He charged £10 per adult and £5 per child and the idea was to run or walk 100 laps of his home. This equated to 10km or a slightly shorter route was 7.5km. It was an absolutely gorgeous evening and they had the BBQ going. He had a fantastic turnout with people walking with prams and young children even cycling alongside parents.
He raised a fabulous £1860 for the charity.
