The Susan McMillan School of Ballet

The Susan McMillan School of Ballet was set up by Susan 40 years ago and is currently based in Abbey dance studios in Bangor, where it has been for the last 32 years.  Susan had a real passion for ballet and loved teaching and sharing her skills with the children.  In 2016 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and sadly she lost her fight on 14th May this year.

Vicki had been working as Susan’s assistant at the ballet school for the last 15years and has agreed to keep the school running in her honour.  She arranged for a fundraising event to be held in Abbey Studios at the end of June to raise money for Brainwaves.  A movie week was held on the last week of June when all the student ballerinas watched dance related movies such as Central Stage & Ballerina.  They all had to wear pink and enjoyed treats such as popcorn.  There was no set charge to come and watch the movies, she just asked for donations.  Well what a generous bunch of ballerinas as they managed to raise an amazing £1000.  Thank you so much for this brilliant donation.
